2012-2013 Recommendations for Students in the CEHS/Special Education & Communication Disorders

The College of Education and Human Sciences recommends a system with at least these specifications. They do not request you purchase from a specific vendor. These systems are available at the UNL Computer Shop. The UNL Computer Shop also sells MS Office for both Mac and PC and SPSS at discounted prices for students.

Macintosh computers can run both Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows operating systems. To run Windows-only software: purchase a version of Windows 7, $10-$17 at the UNL Computer Store. Windows can be installed by the student for no additional cost, using Apple's free Boot Camp software. For an additional fee, the UNL Computer Help Center will install Windows 7. Contact the UNL Computer Store for advice on available options.
