Learn everything you need to know about birds from this manual. The purpose of this project is to encourage young people to become aware of their environment, encourage young people to learn to observe birds and to keep records of those observations, allow young people to become excited about birds, encourage young people to read other materials, encourage young people to attract birds to their yard, and encourage young people and adults to work together. Participants are encouraged to work on at least two or more of the following activities: bird calendar and lifetime bird list; diorama; construction of a bird house, feeders, and waterers; essay.
