Educators working with young adults seeking rental housing for the first time or other adults having difficulty renting due to past problems will like RentWise. This nine-hour hands-on education program contains six modules that teach how to choose and care for a home or apartment, manage money, and develop collaborative relationships with landlords and neighbors. The materials stress tenant responsibilities and the benefits of positive, nonconfrontational relationships. The RentWise facilitator’s manual contains detailed lesson plans, activities, and teaching resources.
Participants completing the program will earn a certificate.
The RentWise Workbook/Organizer (EC433) is the companion piece for participants.
