Local, state, and/or federal agencies may require special permits, such as for fur-bearing or game animals. Topics include fumigation and other control methods of pest birds and burrowing rodents such as pocket gophers, prairie dogs, woodchucks, ground squirrels, and rats. Content supplements information in Nebraska’s General Standards (00) core manual. Recertification and relicensing is required every 3 years for both this category and General Standards. Does NOT include control of vertebrates, such as birds, bats, and rodents that are invading structures (see Category 8).
