From July 26th to July 28th, fast-paced and hands-on, the Red Cross Wilderness First Aid course covers a wide range of wilderness medicine topics for people who travel in the outdoors. Whether spending time in the backcountry is your passion or your profession, you should never have to ask, "What do I do now?"
In this course, you'll learn how to prepare for the unexpected. American Red Cross' curriculum is unique and includes many advanced topics that other programs leave out. By the end of the course, you'll have the tools to make sound decisions in emergency situations. This course is ideal for trip leaders, camp staff, outdoor enthusiasts, and individuals in remote locations. You will leave with both an American Red Cross Wilderness First Aid and CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers certification. You can learn more about the course content at https://www.redcross.org/take-a-class/cpr/wilderness-sports.
UNL Outdoor Adventures delivers this certification course through the American Red Cross (https://www.RedCross.org/). Course instructors are professional staff of Outdoor Adventures and volunteers for the American Red Cross and special course fees are directed to offset the licensing associated with providing the course. As course sponsor, Outdoor Adventures will be your point of contact regarding any course logistics or questions prior to the start of the course. If you have questions about course content during the course, please address these questions to the course instructors as well.
