A well-balanced diet that is rich in fiber is important to our health. This set of two Extension Community Lessons will help you learn about the good things fiber does for your body and how to identify the amount of fiber in foods.
Fitting in the Fiber — This Leader Guide (HEF580) contains resources and a lesson plan to help participants understand the benefits of eating adequate fiber, how much fiber to eat, and what foods to eat.
Fitting in the Fiber — The Participant Guide (HEF581) contains information about types of fiber, fiber-rich food groups, and four recipes to help participants incorporate more fiber into their diet. An evaluation form is included so participants can provide feedback on the lesson.
