By the end of the workshop, students should be able to:
- Identify the basic parts of a leaf.
- Explain why leaves are green.
- Describe the role of chlorophyll in photosynthesis.
- Explain why leaves change color in the fall.
- Identify some of the pigments found in leaves.
- Investigate how different leaves vary.
- Collect and interpret simple data.
- Explain how trees prepare for winter.
