It is an abridgement of data that may be useful in detailed local or regional stratigraphic study, and in collecting lithologic materials and fossil flora and fauna for systematic study, but it does not include stratigraphic sections and detailed description of the subdivisions because these features are covered in the publications cited in the bibliography.
