Description: In the spring of 1959, a series of four core tests were drilled for the Metropolitan Utilities District near 63rd and Oak Streets in Omaha, Nebraska. These tests were drilled by the Layne-Western Company to determine the feasibility of mining out an underground cavern facility for storage of liquid propane gas. A detailed description of the first core test and abbreviated logs of the other three tests are included in this report. Out of print, unbound copy available.
