Korus (Conservation & Survey Division). On CD-Rom with single page description and use instructions. Description: This report is a compilation of various published and unpublished geologic cross sections of eastern Nebraska. It was completed as part of the Eastern Nebraska Water Resources Assessment (ENWRA), a cooperative project between the Conservation and Survey Division, School of Natural Resources (CSD-SNR) and six Natural Resources Districts in eastern Nebraska (Lewis and Clark, Lower Elkhorn, Lower Platte North, Lower Platte South, Nemaha, Papio-Missouri River). The geologic cross sections contained in this report were previously only available in hard copy at the Conservation and Survey Division, School of Natural Resources (CSD-SNR). In many cases only one copy of the original exists. The purpose of this compilation is to 1) preserve these geologic cross sections, 2) make them more accessible to geologists and natural resources managers, and 3) to aid in interpretation and study planning as part of the ENWRA. The compilers searched archived working files at CSD for geologic cross sections in counties generally east of 98⁰ west longitude. The cross sections were digitally scanned and saved in .pdf or .jpeg format, and the surface trace of each cross section was digitized in a geographic information system (GIS) program for future reference. The cross sections were created by several different authors at different times, generally from the 1940s through the 1970s. The date and author of each cross section was noted, if known. The date and author of many of the cross sections, however, are unknown to the compilers. The cross sections are in various stages of completion, from rough pencil draft to final published version.
