Engberg, R. A., Spalding, R. F., 1979. Groundwater Quality Atlas of Nebraska (RA-3): 39 pp., size 8.5" x 14". Description: This publication describes the background quality of the groundwater of Nebraska. Included are maps of the extent of different concentrations of the major chemical constituents of groundwater. All constituents are naturally occurring, although in places their concentrations have been changed by irrigation and other land use activities. In many areas where groundwater occurs at shallow depth, concentrations of chloride, nitrate, and sulfate are known to correlate with agricultural land use. Out of print, unbound copy available. This document contains information based on data that was accurate and current at the time of publication, it may not be accurate and relevant at the present time.
