Kister, L. R., Mundorff, J. C. 1963. Sedimentation and Chemical Quality of Water in Salt Creek Basin, Nebraska (WSP-1669-H). 47 pp., size 6" x 9". Description: The USGS began studies of water quality in the Salt Creek drainage basin in 1950. Chemical quality studies have been made of the water from Salt Creek and its tributaries and from three types of water-bearing deposits: the Dakota group of Early Cretaceous age, the sands and gravels of Pleistocene age, and the alluvium of Recent age. Fluvial-sediment studies have been made only at one site, Salt Creek in Lincoln. The interpretive results of these studies are presented in this paper.
