Description: Report was in fulfillment of a cooperative agreement between the Lower Big Blue Natural Resources District and the Conservation and Survey Division. From 1981 to 1983, 136 groundwater samples, 30 surface water samples, and 14 soil cores were collected from Blakely and Grant townships in Gage County, DeWitt township of Saline County and Plymouth township in Jefferson County. Ground and surface water samples were analyzed for nitrate, chloride, and conductivity and selected samples were analyzed for atrazine. Extractable ammonium and nitrate were determined on soil samples
