Description

The Micropaleontology of the Niobrara Formation in Kansas, Nebraska, and South Dakota (GSB-12): Loetterle, G.J., 1937, 80 pp., size 6" x 9". Description: The Niobrara is one of the most widespread of Upper Cretaceous formations. It was deposited over most of the extent of the Colorado geosyncline, so that strata of Niobrara age occupy large areas in North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, Wyoming, Nebraska, Kansas, Colorado, New Mexico and Texas. This report is based upon a study of the microfauna of the formation as it developed in Kansas, Nebraska and South Dakota. An attempt was made to determine the stratigraphic range of the various species as well as their geographic distribution. OUT OF PRINT. UN-BOUND BLACk & WHITE PRINT COPY AVAILABLE ONLY.
